Activities undertaken by Vidya Vikasa Trust are primarily concentrated towards the betterment of visually challenged and the economically backward students of the society.
These activities of the Trust are broadly, two pronged viz., Funding the education of Visually challenged students through merit-cum-need based scholarships and Non commercialized coaching for students from economically backward sections of the society.
Scholarships for the Visually challenged students:
We at Vidya Vikasa Trust, strive to take care of the studies of the visually impaired & physically challenged, by inviting applications by issuing ads in National newspapers. Later,
the selection Committee finalizes the list needy students to award the Scholarships / financial assistance based on performance and needs of the candidates and availability of funds with the Trust. In addition to this, the Trust also provides them Tape Recorders, Braille watches,
Braille literature, Sun glasses, detective sticks
etc.,
For the 10th year in succession, the Trust has been awarding monetary scholarships to Visually challenged students. The number of students who have received support from the Trust has been growing every year with the strong support of donors!! A Scholarship Distribution Committee will be formed every Year Under the Chairmanship of a Retired Accounts Officer preferably from Accountant General's Office (Central Government) & he/she will be assisted by the committee Members comprising of 1) Highest donors for the year, 2 parents of coaching center & 2 of our Trustees. The Trustees will only intimate the amount available for awarding Scholarships to the blind students. The decision taken by the scholarship distribution committee will be final and the Board of Trustees will have only a formal discussion/review before the implementation of awarding Scholarship to the selected candidates.

The Annual Function is normally celebrated at Sri Rama Mandir, Rajajinagar which is given free of cost as an appreciation to the cause of our activities.
Further, Vidya Vikasa Trust has also created a stage to the visually impaired students to exhibit their cultural activities
during Trust’s annual celebrations. Majority of
the candidates parents' are agriculturalists and come from families where the income is not sufficient to meet their
livelihood & giving education to their children in the existing conditions has become a dream.
Non commercialized coaching for students from economically backward sections of the society
Vidya Vikasa Trust is an unique organisation built strongly on the ideals of 'Non Commercialization of Education'. Here the students are made to learn lessons by creating an interest in them and getting into the depth of the subjects. This makes learning by joy rather than a burden. The students are equipped to face the exams right from the beginning itself by means of regular assignments.

Under any circumstances the student is not allowed to have a downfall in this progress. The coverage of syllabus is scientifically planned, so that the portions are completed well in advance which provides the Students with ample time, so that they can prepare well for the Exams. The real caliber and the capability of this educational center lie in transforming an average student to meritorious student. In this endeavor Vidya Vikasa Trust has achieved a remarkable success.

The Trust also conducts hindi classes to the level of 'Rastrabasha Visharadha', recognized by Dakshina Bharath Hindi Prachar Sabha to make the children of today employable tomorrow and also to add to their language skills. The 20th batch is currently in progress.

Conducting Free Health & Eye screening camps
The Trust has also organized Free Eye Camp for the general Public in co-ordination with the Lion's Club of Rajajinagar
Lion K N Kumar, Vice District Goevrnor, was of the opinion “By using the services of Lion’s Club in Eye screening for Children, you are helping them to restore Eye sight. I thank you on behalf of the Lion’s Organisation.”

Dr. Madhusudhan, Bangalore Medical College and Dr.R.Veena, who happen to be alumni of this centre, conducted FREE HEALTH CAMP. They felt “Vidya Vikasa Trust is the mode of enhancement for study along with Health care Programmes conducted on28.12.2003 (Sunday)”.
All such important public programmes are being announced in all the leading dailies.
Conducting study circles by inviting reputed Professors
Over the years leading professors such as Dr.Raghunandan Prof.B.S.Ramprasad, Prof.Chidambaram, Dr.H.L.Bhat, Dr. Shiva Prakash, Prof.S.V.Subramanyam, Dr.Pradeep, Dr.H.L.Bhat, Sri.A.Gundu Rao from the prestigious Indian Institute of Science, B'lore have conducted Lectures Classes on various Science and mathematics topics of general interest. These have proved to be of great benefit to the young students and have been an spurce of inspiration for them to work hard and make it big themselves.
All such classes are conducted for free and the details of the same are made known through announcements in leading News Papers.
Apart from the these activities, the Trust is also actively involved in

- Providing free basic computer training to the children of Middle & High School classes.
- Distribution of "Prathiba Puraskara" Scholarships to economically Backward & meritorious students and providing books, study materials to the needy students out of the Trust fund.
